Calacatta Oro or Calacatta Gold is an Italian precious marble, taken in Tuscany, on the Apuane Alps. Its bottom is crystalline white and its veins are yellow-gold; it is a sober and elegant material that can adapt to any type of environment and context, from classic to modern. The scenographic appearance of its unique grain in its kind make it ideal for luxurious environments, for minimal objects and matched with other materials such as wood and metal. The Calacatta was also used in Renaissance times for interior furnishings and luxury objects.
