Calacatta Oro

Categories:

Calacatta Oro, or Gold, is a precious Italian marble, quarried in Tuscany, in the Apuan Alps. Its background is crystalline white, and its veins are yellow-gold in color; it is a material that is both understated and elegant, able to adapt to all types of settings and contexts, from classical to modern.

The dramatic appearance of its uniquely patterned veins makes it ideal for luxurious environments, minimalistic objects, and can be combined with other materials such as wood and metal. Calacatta marble was also used during the Renaissance for interior furnishings and luxury objects.
