This striking visual effect enhances spaces, offering designers an additional expressive tool for working with natural stone.
The sandwich structure improves the technical performance of solid materials and, thanks to the use of tempered or laminated glass, enables architectural solutions such as doors and bathroom accessories that comply with regulations.
Material transparency
This new product is a viable alternative to glass backing for backlit materials, especially when size and weight are a limitation. The combination of cylinders and outer skins of transparent polycarbonate creates an ultralight composite panel that allows light to pass through.
Used as a support for even thin materials, when backlit with various lighting systems, it highlights the transparency of natural materials. Even the most delicate and fragile materials can be used and installed in large formats with backlit effect.
The thickness of the substrate ranges from 10 to 20 mm, with a marble layer of 4 to 10 mm above it.
Main applications of marble with transparent honeycomb:
- Nautical: interior furnishings, walls, flooring, suspended ceilings, cladding, private and industrial elevators.
- Architecture: curtain and ventilated facades, wall coverings.
- Furniture: desks and tables, vanity tops, kitchens, and other furnishings.
